The Campania region's cuisine is mostly simple fare, using fresh local ingredients. The tomatoes in Campania are exported around the world, and you can see vines hanging outside almost every home. You'll want to try the pasta, which is usually cooked al dente (chewy rather than soft). Here are just some of their specialties:

  • Pizza alla marinara: Simple yet tasty pizza made with tomatoes, garlic and oregano
