DAY 2, Wednesday - Arrive in Venice, Transfer to Padua
Arrive in Venice and transfer to your hotel in the city of Padua, dating back to the 12th century BC. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by a reception. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 3 PM

DAY 3, Thursday - Padua Walking Tour
This morning, take a walking tour of Padua and begin at the monumental square of Prato della Valle, one of the largest in Europe. Continue to view the Basilica of Saint Anthony, with its Romanesque and Byzantine architecture, a landmark of the city. Discover the medieval city center, its lively squares including Piazza dei Signori with its clocktower, and Piazza della Frutta e delle Erbe, a historic marketplace. See the Palazzo della Ragione, the 13th century Palazzo del Comune, and Loggia del Consiglio. Enjoy free time for lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon perhaps, stroll through the narrow streets of the Jewish Ghetto, lined with ancient synagogues and traditional shops

DAY 4, Friday - Explore Verona
Depart Padua and travel west towards Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best examples of a fortified city. Verona is also known worldwide as the setting of Shakespeare's famous play Romeo and Juliet. On arrival, take a tour of Verona's historic center with its ancient Roman ruins, medieval palaces, and Renaissance architecture. Spend free time exploring on your own and discovering the culinary scene. Sample traditional dishes including risotto all'Amarone paired with regional wines. Later, return to Padua

DAY 5, Saturday - Full Day in Padua or Optional Full Day Treviso & Prosecco
Today is free for you to explore Padua at your own pace. Perhaps, join the optional Full Day Treviso & Prosecco. Embark on a drive through scenic landscapes to Treviso, a lovely small city in northern Veneto. Walk the quaint streets that are cut across by pretty canals and view the striking Palazzo dei Trecento in Piazza dei Signori. Spend time on your own exploring before continuing to the area of Prosecco. Journey through the countryside, passing villas and medieval towns, to visit a local winery known for its Prosecco production. Gain insight into the winemaking process of this iconic sparkling wine. Conclude with sampling a selection of Prosecco wine in its land of origin. Arrive in Padua in the afternoon

DAY 6, Sunday - Train to Venice, Murano Island, Walking Tour of Venice
This morning, walk to the train station to board your train to Venice. The discovery of Venice begins with a boat ride to the island of Murano, known for its artistic and colorful glassware. Visit a local factory to witness the art of glassblowing. Afterward, continue to the main Venice Island and take a walking tour with your local guide through the maze of narrow alleyways and bridges before reaching St. Mark's Square. Upon arrival, stop to view its most prominent monuments, the pink marble Doge's Palace and golden Basilica of San Marco. The afternoon is yours to explore Venice at leisure, or to participate in the optional Gondola Ride, offering a different perspective of this unique city built on water. Return by train to Padua

DAY 7, Monday - Full Day in Padua or Optional Bologna Tour and Food Tasting
Spend the day at leisure or choose the optional Excursion to Bologna and food tasting. Depart Padua and journey through the heart of Emilia-Romagna region to Bologna. On arrival, explore Bologna's oldest food market called "Quadrilatero." Walk through the most traditional food shops and learn about the history, culture, and architecture, that make Bologna medieval market so unique. During the tour, savor a variety of local specialties that have secured Bologna's reputation as being the foodie capital of Italy. View Piazza Maggiore with the Accursio Palace and the Neptune Fountain. Continue to St. Petronio Basilica, the Archiginnasio Palace with its frescoed walls, the Two Towers, and Santo Stefano Square. You have free time to explore on your own. Head back to Padua in the late afternoon

DAY 8, Tuesday - Villa Pisani & Brenta
Your day of exploration begins with a drive along the Brenta Riviera to the magnificent Villa Pisani, one of the most beautiful Palladian villas, located near the city of Stra. Visit the villa, a masterpiece of Venetian Baroque architecture and a testament to the wealth of the noble Pisani family. The villa is now a National Museum that houses 18th and 19th century works of art and furniture, including the fresco masterpiece of Giambattista Tiepolo on the ceiling of the ballroom. Tonight, bid farewell to your Tour Manager during dinner
