DAY 2, Saturday - Arrive in Catania
Benvenuti! Arrive in the island of Sicily, rich in history, culture and tradition. Transfer to your hotel in Catania. The remainder of the day is at leisure to start exploring one of Sicily's most important cities. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by dinner. We recommend you to select flights that arrive no later than 4 PM

DAY 3, Sunday - Catania City Tour
Begin the day with a city tour of Catania, a wonderful combination of ancient and modern, under the shadow of Mt. Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe. After the city was destroyed in the 17th century, the entire old part of the city was rebuilt in Baroque style with large wide open squares. Afternoon is at leisure to explore the city on your own. Or, take the optional tour to the old-world resort city of Taormina, also known as the "Jewel of the Ionian Sea." The tour is highlighted by the city's most famous archaeological monument, the Greek Theater, one of the most celebrated in Sicily

DAY 4, Monday - Syracuse
Today depart Catania for Syracuse. Step back in time to the glorious days of Greek Sicily, and explore the birthplace of Archimedes. Visit the archaeological park, the Roman amphitheater, and the "Ear of Dionysius," an awe-inspiring artificial limestone cave renowned for its outstanding acoustics. After free time on your own, continue to Ragusa, arriving in the afternoon

DAY 5, Tuesday - Walking Tour of Ragusa
Your day of exploration begins with a walking tour of Ragusa. Take in the Baroque atmosphere of Ragusa-Ibla, with its maze of narrow streets, lined with imposing churches, and stunning palaces. Spend the afternoon at leisure to discover the delights of Ragusa, or join the optional Donnafugata Castle Tour. Embark on a journey through the pristine landscapes of Sicily, where the Castle of Donnafugata awaits, nestled amid charming dry-stone walls. This enchanting castle seamlessly blends styles from various ages, creating a harmonious fusion of history and captivating legends. DAY 6, Wednesday - Valley of Temples
This morning, drive to Agrigento to explore the impressive Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This splendid archaeological park is the largest in the world with the best-preserved temple ruins outside of mainland Greece. Savor lunch featuring some of the area's local delicacies before continuing to Palermo. Check into your hotel in late afternoon

DAY 7, Thursday - Palermo Old City Tour
This morning, take a walking tour of the ancient Old City of Palermo with its incredible mix of architectural styles, including its magnificent cathedral. In the afternoon, discover the vibrant capital of Sicily on your own, with its winding alleyways and colorful back streets, or linger over a cup of coffee at a local café, and perhaps savor an authentic Sicilian pastry. Perhaps, participate in the optional Palermo Wine Tasting. Enjoy a wine tasting experience, just outside Palermo, where you'll savor four local wines, paired with traditional Sicilian delicacies. Take a tour through the barrel rooms, where the wines mature, and learn about Sicily's winemaking heritage

DAY 8, Friday - Cefalu en route to Catania
Depart Palermo this morning and travel to the charming fisherman village of Cefalu, with its ancient houses facing the sea. Stroll through the medieval narrow streets, and arrive at the magnificent Piazza del Duomo, where you will experience the splendidly intact atmosphere of this pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Then, continue on to Catania and check into your hotel. Tonight, enjoy your last night in Sicily

DAY 9, Saturday - Flight to Malta, Valletta Sightseeing
This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Malta. On arrival, take a city tour of Valletta, the beautiful walled capital of Malta. The town was built by the Knights of St. John in the 16th century, and maintains the same historic feel with its majestic gardens and Baroque art and architecture. Balance of the day is at leisure

DAY 10, Sunday - Full Day in Malta
Today is free to explore Quara and its surroundings on your own, or take the optional tour to the island of Gozo*, Malta's sister island, where time stands still and traditions and customs form the daily life of the islanders. Gozo is greener, more rural, and offers beautiful scenic views, having most of the population still following their forefathers' trades of farming and fishing. During this excursion, visit the Temple of Ggantija, which is the only major prehistoric site on the Island of Gozo. The temple is among the oldest and best-preserved in the world. Have lunch before returning to Qawra in the afternoon

DAY 11, Monday - Mdina & St. Paul's Catacombs
Your day of discovery begins at the central part of the island in Mdina, the ancient capital of Malta. This walled city dates back to prehistoric times and has witnessed Malta's major historical events, having a strategic position on one of the land's highest plateaus. During your walk in the silent city, view Mdina Cathedral and the imposing bastions that allow you to admire panoramic views of most of the island. Next, visit St. Paul's Catacombs, which feature an extensive underground system of tombs that date back to the 3rd century B.C. Tonight at dinner, bid farewell to your Tour Manager
