Rome City Sightseeing - Colosseum
Panoramic tour of Imperial Rome, including the Roman Forum, the Circus Maximus, and the Great Synagogue built in the heart of the Jewish quarter. After your tour, you will experience the Colosseum, reliving the brutal entertainment of the gladiators and the lions, judged by the Emperor himself.

Pompeii - Amalfi - Dinner in Hotel
Visit Pompeii, ravel back in time to the fateful year of 79 A.D. A city perfectly preserved by the ash that rained down from Mt. Vesuvius, you’ll see the tragic fossils of people attempting to escape with their children and dogs. Continue your journey to Amalfi, where you’ll check in to your beautiful hotel. You will enjoy an authentic Neapolitan dinner in the hotel.

Amalfi - Capri - Amalfi
Board a ferry to the world’s most enchanting island – Capri. You will enjoy a private boat tour around the island (weather permitting).  You will cruise by the magnificent Faraglioni, Capri’s iconic rock formations which tower above the Mediterranean Sea.
Next, you visit one of the lesser known but equally beautiful sea caves, the Grotta Bianca.

Taormina
Head South to Calabria to board a ferry across the Straits of Messina to Sicily! You’ll arrive in Taormina, located on the east coast of Sicily, Italy, a picturesque town renowned for its stunning views, rich history, and vibrant culture.

After a leisurely tour in the morning, you will learn why Taormina is known as the “Jewel of Italy”.
Its winding streets and secluded gardens are truly enchanting. The snow-covered Mt. Etna volcano serves as a dramatic backdrop to the well-preserved Greek and Roman outdoor theaters you will be visiting.

Taormina - Mt. Etna Winery Visit & Tasting - Light Lunch
Visit one of the most active volcanoes in the world, Mt. Etna, which is in an almost constant state of eruption. Visit a local winery for a tour, a wine tasting and a light lunch!

Off to Palermo! 
You will be stopping along the way for a fascinating visit of Cefalù, a coastal town in Northern Sicily. You will enjoy a guided visit of the famous Norman cathedral, a 12th century fortress-like structure with elaborate Byzantine mosaics and soaring twin towers.

Palermo - City Tour
Visit the Cathedral, built on the ruins of the largest mosque, which houses the relics of Rosalia, patron saint of Palermo. Then you will walk through Ballarò, one of the oldest street markets in Sicily, taking in an explosion of colors and scents of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and fish. After visiting the market, you will admire the grandiose Fontana Pretoria, and end at the Theater of the Sun, also known as “The Quattro Canti”, the heart of the old city.

Boarding your overnight flight, you’re off on the adventure of a lifetime!

Rome - Afternoon at Leisure
Benvenuti a Roma, the eternal city! We are pleased to offer complimentary transfers from Rome airport to your hotel at scheduled times. Your Perillo representative will be at the airport to greet you.
This evening, you will meet your tour leader for a brief orientation and welcome drink. You’ll be free to enjoy dinner on your own tonight – be sure to ask your tour leader for suggestions.

Rome City Sightseeing - Colosseum - Dinner Out Tonight
This morning, you’ll get to experience a delicious Italian breakfast, complete with cappuccinos, fresh juices, croissants, fresh breads along with salami, cheeses and of course bacon and eggs!
Next, you will board a bus for a panoramic tour of Imperial Rome, including the Roman Forum, the Circus Maximus, and the Great Synagogue built in the heart of the Jewish quarter. After your tour, you will experience the Colosseum, reliving the brutal entertainment of the gladiators and the lions, judged by the Emperor himself.
This evening, you will enjoy a fun dinner out at a local restaurant.

Rome - Pompeii - Amalfi - Dinner in Hotel
In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, you are off on a beautiful drive south to Pompeii. You will travel back in time to the fateful year of 79 A.D. A city perfectly preserved by the ash that rained down from Mt. Vesuvius, you’ll see the tragic fossils of people attempting to escape with their children and dogs. You’ll be amazed to see the streets, homes, and stores still perfectly intact.
Next, you will continue your journey to Amalfi, where you’ll check in to your beautiful hotel.
In the evening, you will enjoy an authentic Neapolitan dinner in the hotel.

Amalfi - Capri - Amalfi
This morning, you will board a ferry to the world’s most enchanting island – Capri. You will enjoy a private boat tour around the island (weather permitting).  You will cruise by the magnificent Faraglioni, Capri’s iconic rock formations which tower above the Mediterranean Sea.
Next, you visit one of the lesser known but equally beautiful sea caves, the Grotta Bianca. After you will have free time to explore the island on your own or take advantage of a special optional excursion with a tour leader.
In the afternoon you will return to Amalfi where you can relax before you head out for dinner on your own. Ask your tour leader for some recommendations.

Amalfi - Day at Leisure
We thought you would enjoy a full day of leisure, so today you are free to explore this beautiful city on your own...or you can relax at the hotel pool!

Amalfi - Taormina
In the morning, you will head South to Calabria to board a ferry across the Straits of Messina to Sicily!
You’ll arrive in Taormina, located on the east coast of Sicily, Italy, a picturesque town renowned for its stunning views, rich history, and vibrant culture. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Ionian Sea, Taormina offers breathtaking panoramas of the coastline, Mount Etna, and the surrounding landscape.
Tonight you will be free to enjoy dinner on your own.
*This will be a long day, so remember to wear comfortable clothes & shoes!

Taormina City Tour - Dinner Out
After a leisurely tour in the morning, you will learn why Taormina is known as the “Jewel of Italy”.
Its winding streets and secluded gardens are truly enchanting. The snow-covered Mt. Etna volcano serves as a dramatic backdrop to the well-preserved Greek and Roman outdoor theaters you will be visiting.
Then, the afternoon is all yours! Why not stroll the medieval streets lined with interesting little shops, take a dip in the hotel pool, or treat yourself to one of Sicily’s greatest inventions – the cannoli! It’s like heaven in your mouth!
In the evening, you will enjoy dinner and great “Vino Siciliano” (Sicilian wine) at a fine local restaurant.

Taormina - Mt. Etna Winery Visit & Tasting - Light Lunch
In the morning, you’ll visit one of the most active volcanoes in the world, Mt. Etna, which is in an almost constant state of eruption. Don’t worry – you will be kept at a safe distance!
The abundant volcanic soil supports extensive agriculture, orchards, and vineyards. So, let’s visit a local winery for a tour, a wine tasting and a light lunch!
In the evening, you can enjoy dinner on your own. Have you tried pesce spada yet?
Swordfish is Sicily’s favorite seafood.

Taormina - Cefalù - Palermo
Off to Palermo!  You will be stopping along the way for a fascinating visit of Cefalù, a coastal town in Northern Sicily. You will enjoy a guided visit of the famous Norman cathedral, a 12th century fortress-like structure with elaborate Byzantine mosaics and soaring twin towers.
You will have some free time to walk around this charming town, shop and have lunch on your own before heading to Palermo.
In the evening, enjoy dinner on your own. Be sure to end your dinner with a delicious dessert that originated in Palermo: Cassata Siciliana.

Palermo - City Tour - Dinner in Hotel
You will start your day by visiting the Cathedral, built on the ruins of the largest mosque, which houses the relics of Rosalia, patron saint of Palermo. Then you will walk through Ballarò, one of the oldest street markets in Sicily, taking in an explosion of colors and scents of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and fish. Vendors shout very loud—in Sicilian dialect—to attract people and to promote their specialties. This will be the best way to experience the unique atmosphere of daily life in Sicily. After visiting the market, you will admire the grandiose Fontana Pretoria, and end at the Theater of the Sun, also known as “The Quattro Canti”, the heart of the old city.
The afternoon will be free to enjoy it as you please... perhaps to buy some last minute gifts to take home with you. In the evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner as a group, in the hotel.

Flight Home - Palermo - USA
In the morning, you will travel to Palermo airport for your flight home.
While you say “arrivederci” to Italy, you will certainly take a piece of it home with you, maybe some wine too! Arrivederci Bella Sicilia!
