Thereâ??s a lot of art in Naples, but The Museum of Contemporary Art is a must see. Pretty much all of the items here are modern and the museum has works from both international and Italian artists. Visitors will be able to see both temporary and regular exhibits as well. The museum is located close to the historic center and the Archaeological Museum so you can easily stop at all three of them on the same day if you are just looking to do some quick browsing.

The Museum Of Contemporary Art

This sculpture of Jesus Christ can be found at the Capella Sansevero. It was carved in 1752 and thousands of people visit it each year. The piece is really stunning despite it being covered with thin cloths. Visitors can make out the facial features of Christ as well as his wounds from crucifiction. In addition to this sculpture there are also two additional ones that you can seen here.

Naples is full of a lot of history. You can see some of the areaâ??s items that have been excavated by visiting the National Archaeological Museum. Sure, there are larger museums outside of Naples, but this one is definitely worth visiting if you want to see a huge fresco and mosaic panels, Roman art and quite a few sculptures.

Grab a map and head over to the historic center for at least a few hours. You will be amazed at the numerous shops, both ancient and modern buildings and the amount of people here. Just make sure that you visit this area during the day because itâ??s not that safe once the sun goes down. If you can, get a guide to take you are and give you a little bit of history of the area.
